Planning Commission
The Planning Commission is a seven-member board appointed by the Mayor for three-year terms. It is responsible for reviewing and making decisions on all site plan applications, conditional use permits and subdivision applications. The Planning Commission also reviews all applications to the Zoning Board of Appeals and issues either a positive or negative referral to the ZBA. This Commission meets once a month on the third Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the Common Council chambers of City Hall. The meeting is open to the public.
Zoning Board of Appeals
The Zoning Board of
Appeals (ZBA) is a seven-member board appointed by the Mayor for
three-year terms. It is
responsible for the administration of the City’s Zoning Ordinance.
The ZBA reviews all applications for use and area variances
and zoning interpretations.
The City Planning Director, Code Enforcement Officer and City
Attorney work in an advisory position to the ZBA.
The board meets the last Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m.
in the Common Council chamber of City Hall.
The meeting is open to the public.
